Our wonder co-leaders of the Resilience Revolution at Devonshire Primary Academy have been doing amazing work towards achieving their Bronze #BlackpoolBeatingBullying award.
The school has surveyed students, parents / carers, staff and governors who have all agreed that they deserve to be awarded the Bronze Charter Mark. It is a great pleasure that Devonshire Primary Academy has become the FIRST Blackpool based primary school to achieve this award. Wellbeing, behaviour and pastoral lead Andrew Brannigan said, “The whole community at Devonshire are delighted to be the first Primary school to be awarded the Blackpool Beating Bullying Bronze Award. We take bullying seriously and encourage all our children to have respect for others and to nurture positive friendships. We think the Charter mark is a fantastic idea, one all schools should engage in. Blackpool Is leading the way in this area and the young people who established this idea should be praised. At Devonshire we found the process extremely valuable and are looking forward to working on new initiatives to secure the silver award very soon.”
