Lorie says ‘I loved this idea for Cool Down Cubes, an idea which I stumbled upon in one of my ‘resource seeking’ journeys.
Young people and I adapted the activity so it matched the framework, with each cube having a different cool down strategy or resilient move. These are ordinary every day activities, for example, photography, doodling, anime movies, talking to a friend… that aren’t always seen as coping strategies or Resilent Moves – but they are!”
So why not have a go and creating your own ‘cool down cubes’ and pick one from the jar next time you need some help calming down and making yourself feel better?
